Stephenson Scholarship Hall

How we began

Stephenson Scholarship Hall, founded in 1952.  Stephenson was built and furnished as the result of a gift of $90,000 from the estate of Lyle Stephenson, a Kansas City insurance man, and financial assistance from the Endowment Association.

Philosophy

Stephenson Scholarship hall was founded on the principal to have relatively cheap housing along with  meals in exchange for having to do some cleaning and/or cooking shifts .
